Here, I will mention a bunch of programs which keep your PC safe and 100% clean. Just give it a shot and you will notice the results. If you're suffering from spyware/adware/malware, then you definitely need to check them out and remove all crap from your PC.
First of all, check out CCleaner (Crap Cleaner). It's simple and secure.
---
Description: It removes unused and temporary files from your system, allowing it to run faster and more efficiently, and giving you more hard-disk space. The application cleans traces left by Windows, Internet Explorer, and third-party applications.
---
I was very surprised by results. It removed about 3 GBs of junk from my computer and it did start running a bit faster. No files/folders were effected, it's completely secure and really fast.
GET IT NOW!
Also, don't forget to do scan for issues. Leave everything on default.
REMOVE SPYWARE, ADWARE AND MALWARE!!!
Two major steps:
1. Download Qoofix from here:
www.malwarebytes.org/qoofix.php
Let it scan and remove crap. Restart PC if it asks you.
2. Get HijackThis. It's one of the most useful programs out there, but you shouldn't mess with it yourself (unless you're an expert). When you're done with downloading, make sure its not in some temporary folder. Move it to C: disk.
Let it do scan and give a log file. Post that log on some forums where you can get help on what to remove. You can get help on a lot of places, just search on google. I actually used one of the forums at gamefaqs. Click here if you have an account there. If they are lazy, then try somewhere else. Check out those sticky topics, some of that stuff is useful too.
OPTIONAL DOWNLOADS.
Spybot: Search & Destroy.

A great free program, but don't depend on it if your PC has some major infection. If you do get it, then make sure you're always updated and it also offers "Immunize" option for more security. Once again, its a great program. It's the only one I keep besides the two I mentioned above.
Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition

May find some stuff which spybot can't, but still not the best idea to fight major infections. Of course, you can always pay and get some better downloads from that site. In that case, I'd recommend Webroot Spy Sweeper (dont even bother with its useless free version).
SAFEST BROWSER?
If you are wondering what browser is the safest, then its definitely Mozilla Firefox. It comes with pop-up blocker and simply more secure than internet explorer. For even more safety, you can get extensions for it. The best ones are:
NoScript = Automatically removes script from every site, just allow the ones you trust. It's well known that some ad crap does come from java, so get it to remove ads even further.
Adblock Plus = A must have. Removes almost every ad image/flashes on webpages. Subscribe to every filter subscription you see when you first use it. Then download Filterset. G Updater which goes with it...
Firefox's site for extensions: addons.mozilla.org/extensions.php

That's all for now. I will update the topic later. Stay tuned.
