I dont understand why other console shooters today can't live up to the standards set by the first Halo back in 2001. Is it a money thing? Time? Creative differences? Whatever the case, these other developers' heads will explode when they see how far into the stratosphere Halo 2 has now raised the bar.
It's the jaw-dropping "Oh My God" moments in Halo 2 that make it so killer.

Does our score really have any effect on whether or not you are going to get the game? I would think by now everyone already knows Halo 2 is easily one of the best games ever created so the bottom line really does nothing more than validate the hype we’ve been hearing about for months.
Halo 2 has it all, from killer gameplay to a deep storyline that twists and turns enough to keep players at the edges of their seats.
The campaign mode had me locked-in from the opening cinematic and didn’t let go until the surprising (and cliffhanging) end. Halo 2 is everything we loved about Halo multiplied by ten.
IGN:
Very few games come together and look, sound, and play as smoothly, organically, and as well as this.
It is the best Xbox game this year, and it is the best Xbox game on the system, full stop.
GameSpot:
In short, this is one the best multiplayer action experiences available on any platform.
XBN Magazine:
It's a tremendous sequel to an excellent game, and it heralds great things for the inevitable Halo 3.
