May 16, 2005 - Straight from Sony's press conference here at E3 comes the big news we've all been waiting for...PlayStation 3 is real, baby.

We're blasting up this article as the conference is still going on, but we're going to keep on updating with official details as they roll in from over the phone.

The first word: The name of the next Sony super system is definitely PS3 or PlayStation 3. Nothing fancy or surprising there. And, at least Sony didn't go with PlayStation 361 to outdo Microsoft.

Im sure those pictures are just prototypes, you can tell there not real, just graphics, thats all, only thing I like about the design is the colors u can get it in, but I bet that wont be the final design

I read about its online play, it will offer everything which Xbox offered. Nothing more!

Xbox 360's innovative features put PS3 to shame, Sony just copies something which was done like 3 or 4 years ago...

Yes but it still looks promising. Who knows what kind of games they will put out for it. It may look like a scanner but at least it has a sleek design sorta like the XBOX 360 and the PS2. The controllers are very ugly but oh well. Im defo gona buy this thing as long as the price range isnt to steep.
